Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for receiving hands-on training under experienced cargo officers and cargo superintendents in bunker delivery operations. They will actively participate in external training and certification for SS 648:2024 and SS 600:2024 to ensure full compliance with industry standards. The candidate will assist in crucial operational tasks such as tank measurements, sampling, documentation, and coordination with vessels and surveyors. They will also complete all assigned maritime duties while strictly adhering to the rotational schedule based on vessel requirements and training needs.
Required qualifications
The candidate is required to possess a Diploma in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline. They should be legally eligible to work in Singapore. The candidate must be physically fit and completely comfortable working onboard vessels and in outdoor maritime environments. They must be fully willing to commit to working rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Experience needed
This is a fresh and entry-level position in the engineering and maritime sector. The candidate is expected to have about 1 year of experience, but extensive hands-on training will be provided. A strong, genuine interest in developing a long-term career in marine fuel operations and bunkering is essential. On the job guidance regarding specific bunker delivery operations and safety standards will be provided to the selected candidates.
