Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting in-house quality control (QC) and repair services for high-end watch brands such as Audemars Piguet, Rolex, Omega, Longines, Cartier, and Panerai. They will perform thorough QC on all watches, including existing stock, consignments, new shipments, and clients’ watches, completing a detailed checklist for each piece. The candidate will offer expert advice and prepare professional service proposals for defective pieces. They will precisely adjust delicate escapements and balance springs, comprehensively diagnose non-working watches, and ensure that all repaired timepieces are fully restored to their original factory specifications.
Required qualifications
The candidate is not required to have any formal higher education degree. They should be legally eligible to work in Singapore. The candidate must be fully capable of working on-site at the Far East Plaza service center and be highly comfortable handling intricate, high-value mechanical items.
Experience needed
This is a professional level position in the repair and maintenance sector. The candidate must have at least 2 years of proven working experience. Prior experience specializing in the diagnosis and repair of luxury, high-end mechanical watches is absolutely essential for this role. On the job familiarization regarding the specific in-house QC checklists and studio standards will be provided to the selected candidates.
Skills and competencies
The candidate should possess exceptional manual dexterity and a meticulous eye for detail to handle tiny, complex watch mechanisms securely. They must have strong analytical and diagnostic skills to accurately identify mechanical faults and prepare comprehensive reports.
