Loh Chwee Chew Mooring Services Private Limited is seeking a reliable, physically fit, and dedicated Berth Attendant to coordinate and oversee vessel mooring and unmooring operations. Based primarily at Jurong Island with islandwide maritime deployment, this permanent full-time role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from $3,000 to $3,500. You will handle mooring lines, secure vessels safely during berthing and departure, connect gangways and loading arms, and ensure strict compliance with maritime safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Mooring & Unmooring Operations: Coordinate and execute mooring and unmooring activities to secure vessels safely during arrival and departure at the berth.
- Handling Lines & Equipment: Handle heavy mooring lines, secure vessels following standard safety procedures, and oversee the connection/disconnection of gangways and loading arms.
- Communication & Standby: Maintain clear communication with vessel crews, marine pilots, and operational teams while standing by to provide immediate assistance during berthing.
- Safety & Compliance: Monitor berth operations continuously, identify safety hazards or operational concerns, adhere to maritime safety regulations, and report incidents promptly.
- Inspection & Maintenance: Assist with routine berth inspections, maintenance activities, and general port support duties as directed by supervisors.
