Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop all classroom, activity, and administrative areas within the centre.
- Wipe, disinfect, and maintain tables, chairs, shelving units, cupboards, and teachers' lockers on a daily basis.
- Perform weekly deep-cleaning routines, including scrubbing children's bag and shoe cubby holes and cleaning window ledges.
- Wash and sanitize all restroom facilities to maintain strict environmental hygiene standards.
- Clear and dispose of garbage bins daily after lunch hours and prior to closing the centre.
- Disinfect children's nap mattresses and sleeping equipment thoroughly following naptime.
- Maintain daily cleaning checklists and sanitation logs for regulatory record-keeping.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals and consumables, placing replenishment orders in a timely manner.
- Cover basic kitchen and cooking duties when the centre cook is absent.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of prior working experience as an environmental cleaner or housekeeper.
- Prior experience in a childcare centre, preschool, or kindergarten environment is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable and patient working in an environment with young preschool children.
- Possession of a valid Food Safety and Hygiene certificate is highly advantageous.
