Job Overview

GE Aviation, Engine Services - Singapore Pte. Ltd. is hiring a Component Repair Technician specializing in Chemical Clean operations at their Loyang Way facility. This role involves operating chemical stripping, plating, and surface preparation machinery to support aerospace engine overhaul activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate chemical cleaning, stripping, plating baths, tumble finishing, plastisol injection, and grit blasting machinery.
• Conduct routine laboratory solution tests—such as titration, pH balancing, and auto-titration—to ensure bath concentrations match strict aviation specifications.
• Perform scheduled tank maintenance, solution top-ups, chemical transfers, and tank cleanouts.
• Accurately log cycle times, chemical parameters, and production batch records in shop logbooks.
• Safely control industrial hoists and lifting equipment to load and submerge aircraft components into process tanks.
• Adhere to High-Risk Operation (HRO) safety protocols, participate in the Chemical Spill Emergency Response Team, and follow all Workplace Safety & Health regulations.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and uphold 5S housekeeping within chemical shop areas.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level with 3 years of relevant chemical experience, or a NITEC / Higher NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering / related field.
• Fresh diploma holders with no prior experience or candidates with relevant hands-on plating experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in reading and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical process sheets in English.
• Familiarity with lab analysis tools (titration, spectrophotometers, pH controllers, X-ray fluorescence) is an advantage.
• Disciplined safety focus and comfortable working in a chemical plant environment.
