Job Overview
Zac Meat & Poultry Pte. Ltd., a major food processing and meat manufacturing facility in Singapore, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Food Production Supervisor to lead daily plant operations at Commonwealth Capital Building on Buroh Lane. This permanent, full-time role focuses on overseeing meat processing workflows, enforcing strict food safety and hygiene standards, optimizing manufacturing efficiency, and mentoring shop-floor production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and direct daily operations of the meat and poultry processing lines to meet production quotas and customer delivery deadlines.
- Lead and mentor plant operatives and production technicians, managing on-the-job training, safety briefings, and performance evaluations.
- Track and analyze key production metrics and KPIs (yield rates, downtime, throughput) to resolve bottleneck issues promptly.
- Enforce stringent food quality assurance (QA) and food safety protocols, conducting systematic line inspections and compliance audits.
- Identify and drive continuous process improvements (Kaizen/Lean) to minimize material waste, optimize line speed, and control manufacturing costs.
- Ensure full adherence to regulatory food hygiene frameworks, SFA standards, HACCP/ISO guidelines, and workplace safety regulations.
- Manage production resources, monitoring raw meat supplies, packaging materials, and machinery maintenance in coordination with procurement.
- Investigate production irregularities, customer quality feedback, or workplace near-misses, implementing robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing, meat processing, or FMCG production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of meat processing workflows, food manufacturing machinery, HACCP/SFA quality control standards, and factory safety protocols.
- Proven leadership, team coaching, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to food hygiene details, and comfort working in cold-room/processing plant conditions.
