Job Overview

Sing Yiet Civil Engineering Contractor Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced, skilled, and safety-conscious Jacking Machine Operator to oversee micro-tunnelling and pipe jacking operations islandwide. Offering a full-time professional role with a monthly salary ranging from $3,000 to $5,000, you will be responsible for operating micro tunnel boring machines (TBM) through varying ground conditions, managing control room parameters, executing preventive maintenance, and ensuring timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• TBM & Pipe Jacking Operations: Operate micro tunnel boring machines safely, technically, and economically from the control room according to provided tunnelling parameters and ground conditions.
• Steering & Control: Skilfully steer the micro-tunnelling machine remotely below ground to ensure precise alignment toward destination points.
• Mobilization & Maintenance: Assist with site setup, equipment mobilization and de-mobilization, and perform routine preventive maintenance on all tunnelling equipment.
• Inspections & Safety: Undertake cutterhead and tool inspections during drives, manage underground emergency situations, maintain daily activity logs, and promote workplace safety.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum educational background in Mechanical and/or Civil Engineering.
• At least 2 to 3 years of specialized hands-on experience handling Pipe Jacking Machines and micro-tunnelling equipment.
• Proven work experience in tunnelling, pipe jacking, and pipe laying works within construction and civil engineering projects.
• Familiarity with DB works, construction supervision, and demonstrated ability in remote TBM steering and subterranean navigation.
