MB FOOD & BEVERAGE ENTERPRISE PTE. LTD. is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join their Bak Kut Teh restaurant located conveniently opposite Farrer Park MRT. This Full Time role is an excellent entry-level opportunity to learn the operations of a traditional Chinese culinary kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves supporting the kitchen in daily preparation, cooking, and maintaining hygiene standards:
Ingredient Preparation: Sort, clean, and cut raw ingredients daily, including both meat (pork and chicken) and non-meat items.
Cooking: Prepare and cook various side dishes. You will also be trained to cook the restaurant’s main Bak Kut Teh dishes.
Order Accuracy: Tally food items against order chits before they are served to customers to ensure accuracy.
Kitchen Upkeep: Maintain a clean kitchen environment, throw rubbish, and wash dirty dishes when necessary (an automated dishwasher is provided).
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience: No prior experience is required, as training for main dishes will be provided.
Literacy: Must be able to read order chits to ensure correct food preparation.
Physical & Health: Must not have allergies to pork (including innards) or chicken meat.
Attributes: Strong self-discipline, a positive attitude, and a high sense of responsibility. You must be able to follow instructions and work overtime when required.
Salary & Details
Monthly Salary: $3,300 to $3,500.
Cuisine: Non-Halal Bak Kut Teh restaurant.
