Job Overview

Venus Stewarding Solutions & Trading Pte. Ltd. is hiring an energetic and attentive Kitchen Helper to support kitchen preparation and food service operations at a hotel located near Katong. This full-time role focuses on ingredient preparation, buffet line maintenance, and scullery sanitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen chefs with daily food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, slicing, and portioning meats, vegetables, and fruits.
• Support buffet line management by continuously monitoring food levels, replenishing serving pans to standard, and keeping display stations spotless and stain-free.
• Deliver courteous and helpful customer service when interacting with hotel dining guests.
• Maintain high kitchen hygiene standards by washing, sanitizing, and storing cookware, dishes, and culinary utensils.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, clear grease traps, and dispose of food scraps and rubbish appropriately.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, verifying incoming goods, and storing kitchen supplies according to food safety protocols.
• Strictly comply with NEA/SFA food safety, hygiene, and workplace sanitation guidelines.

Working Hours & Location

• Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Working Days: Monday to Saturday (6 days)
• Location: Hotel near Katong

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of prior working experience as a kitchen helper, steward, or commis in a hotel, banquet, or F&B setting.
• Strong commitment to food hygiene and safe food-handling practices.
• Physically capable of standing and handling kitchen prep tasks throughout shift hours.
• Positive team player with the ability to follow instructions diligently.
