Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for focusing on the reduction of production errors and ensuring that customers receive the highest quality products. They will perform daily tasks including raw material, packaging material, and finished perfume or product testing as per the standard test methods. The candidate will perform raw materials and finished materials analysis, including odor grading and GC analysis. They will troubleshoot quality-related issues, upkeep safety standards in the plant, and calibrate and maintain quality-related systems and equipment in the lab. They will leverage SAP-QM to maintain records and securely release materials. They will also participate and contribute actively in plant-wide initiatives to eliminate quality-related risks and losses.
Required qualifications
The candidate is required to have a minimum Diploma in Science or a related discipline. They should be legally eligible to work in Singapore. The candidate must be fully willing and able to work on-site in the Tuas area. They must have a strong willingness to be trained and formally qualified as an odor grader to fulfill the specific product testing requirements of the role.
Experience needed
This is a fresh and entry level position in the Sciences, Laboratory, and R&D sector. The candidate should ideally have 1 year of relevant working experience. Any prior experience in Gas Chromatography (GC) analysis is highly preferred. Having a basic understanding of olfactory science, Perfumery Raw Materials (PRMs), and their specific smells or odors will be considered a strong asset. On the job training to maintain the lab systems and equipment at base condition will be provided to the selected candidates.

The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot and resolve quality issues. They should be an excellent team player, highly capable of collaborating and working with people from different backgrounds. The candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills to accurately document records in SAP-QM.
