Key Responsibilities
Deck Officer (Steersman / Helmsman)
- Take charge of harbour craft navigation and oversee safe vessel movement within Singapore Port Limits.
- Execute precise vessel maneuvering, berthing, unberthing, mooring, towing, and passenger transfer activities.
- Ensure the absolute safety of passengers, crew, and cargo during all marine transit operations.
- Conduct pre-operational safety inspections, maintain accurate ship's logs and VHF radio communications, and manage emergency responses effectively.
- Comply strictly with MPA regulations, port safety guidelines, and company safety management systems (SMS).
Engine Officer (Engine Driver Class 3 / Class 2)
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of vessel propulsion machinery, main engines, and auxiliary generator systems.
- Monitor engine-room telemetry, perform routine operational checks, and execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
- Carry out basic troubleshooting, servicing, and prompt defect rectification of marine machinery and equipment.
- Maintain thorough engine-room logbooks, uphold strict housekeeping and fire safety standards, and coordinate closely with the vessel Master.
