Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing and packing high-quality cuts of meat according to customer specifications and company standards. A majority of the time will be spent operating processing equipment such as CryoVac, MultiVacs, dicers, needles, slicers, portion cutters, and scales. They will pack, trim, and customize portions of meat products using knives and other production equipment. The candidate will count and stack tray portions, apply product labels, and set up the packing area. They will also perform end-of-day functions, actively maintain the merchandise partial cart, and keep the packing area, cutting room, and surrounding spaces clean and sanitized.
Required qualifications
The candidate is not required to have any formal higher education degree. They should be legally eligible to work in Singapore. The candidate must be physically fit and highly capable of safely lifting cartons weighing 10 to 20kg. They must be fully prepared and comfortable working continually in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from -18 °C to 10 °C.
Experience needed
This is a non-executive level position in the manufacturing sector. The candidate should have at least 1 year of working experience. Prior experience in safely handling sharp knives and operating heavy-duty meat processing equipment will be considered a strong asset. On the job guidance regarding the company’s specific Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety requirements will be provided to the selected candidates.
