Job Overview
PTC-Chien Li Transportation Pte Ltd, an established land logistics and haulage specialist operating out of the Poh Tiong Choon Logistics Hub on Pandan Road, is seeking an organized, proactive, and communicative Traffic Controller. This full-time role plays a central operational function in dispatching, managing prime mover drivers, scheduling container trucking deliveries, and ensuring adherence to stringent customer service-level agreements (SLAs) and transport safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily operations for a dedicated fleet of prime mover drivers.
- Plan, schedule, and assign trucking delivery and collection trips efficiently to optimize vehicle turnaround times and fleet utilization.
- Monitor live trucking progress and container movements to ensure prompt deliveries in strict compliance with customer SLAs.
- Maintain constant communication with prime mover drivers, addressing operational bottlenecks, route obstacles, and on-ground feedback.
- Liaise closely with internal customer service and warehouse teams to provide status updates on import/export trucking assignments.
- Ensure all prime mover drivers comply strictly with port guidelines, PSA/Jurong Port protocols, traffic regulations, and workplace safety standards.
- Perform administrative documentation, trip logging, and ad-hoc operational tasks assigned by management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- No prior working experience required; entry-level candidates and fresh graduates with a positive attitude and strong desire to learn are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) for scheduling and data entry.
- Strong bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin to coordinate effectively with drivers and operational stakeholders.
- Proactive, resilient, self-motivated, and capable of working productively in a high-tempo logistics environment.
- Able to commence work immediately or on short notice.
