Job Overview

YC Builders Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and certified Welder to carry out structural and mechanical welding and fabrication works across its project sites. Operating from Kitchener Complex, this full-time role focuses on high-precision metal arc, orbital, and specialized pipeline/structural welding while upholding rigorous workplace safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, calibrate, and set up welding apparatus, gas cutting torches, and safety gear prior to operational tasks.
• Execute welding works in accordance with engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Apply advanced welding techniques including gas cutting, PP welding, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and orbital welding.
• Perform positional welding adhering to 3G, 4G, 5G, and 6G certified technical standards.
• Maintain, inspect, and safely store welding machinery, torches, power cables, and auxiliary equipment.
• Identify structural defects or fabrication irregularities and collaborate with supervisors to formulate corrective actions.
• Enforce workplace safety protocols, document observed hazard conditions, and promptly report job-related incidents.
• Execute site fabrication, fitting, and ad-hoc engineering support duties as directed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on welding experience within the building, construction, or heavy engineering sectors.
• Demonstrated proficiency in 3G, 4G, 5G, and 6G welding positions and procedures.
• Skilled in gas cutting, PP welding, metal arc welding, and orbital welding processes.
• Relevant Welder Certification / Trade Test Certification is highly advantageous.
• Physically fit and capable of handling heavy lifting, working at heights/climbing, and enduring prolonged standing periods.
• Strong adherence to site safety guidelines and ability to meet strict fabrication deadlines.
