HRnet Ventures Pte. Ltd. (Crew by HRnet) is hiring an organized, customer-oriented Bookstore Retail Cashier for a popular bookstore chain situated in North-East Singapore. This permanent full-time position offers stable employment, comprehensive staff benefits, and a structured 5-day retail roster (88 hours across two consecutive weeks) in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front-counter checkout operations, processing cash, credit/debit card, and digital payment transactions accurately.
- Deliver welcoming, polite, and attentive customer service to patrons and book lovers.
- Attend to general customer enquiries regarding book titles, stationery items, and promotional offers.
- Support daily store operations, floor replenishment, and product merchandising across aisles.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and secure cashier counter and customer service desk.
- Perform general retail housekeeping and ad-hoc floor duties as directed by the store supervisor.
Working Schedule & Location
- Location: North-East Singapore.
- Work Schedule: 5 days per week (88 scheduled hours over 2 consecutive weeks) rostered according to bookstore retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Peak Commitment: Must be available to commit during the peak retail and year-end back-to-school season from October to mid-January.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Preferably at least 1 year of full-time retail or cashiering experience.
- Customer-centric mindset with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable managing POS transactions, reconciliations, and cash handling responsibly.
- Committed to working retail shift rosters including weekends and public holidays.
