Job Overview

Sembcorp Specialised Construction Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of energy and urban solutions leader Sembcorp Industries, is seeking an experienced and dedicated HSE Coordinator for islandwide construction and civil engineering projects. Offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from $3,930 to $5,600 on a permanent full-time basis, this executive role involves assisting the HSE Officer with daily safety management, conducting site inspections, facilitating emergency drills and incident investigations, and ensuring strict compliance with MOM regulations and Sembcorp HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the HSE Officer in the overall management, implementation, and continual improvement of the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) management system.
• Conduct regular worksite safety inspections to identify hazards, non-compliances, and unsafe acts, raising follow-up reports and monitoring corrective actions to closure.
• Coordinate and conduct HSE training programs, safety orientation campaigns, emergency preparedness drills, and toolbox briefings.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all HSE documentation, including inspection reports, training logs, permit-to-work records, and incident investigation reports.
• Facilitate thorough incident investigations in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and safety teams to determine root causes and preventive measures.
• Work closely with the project team to provide professional advice on workplace safety and environmental matters.
• Perform any other ad-hoc HSE operations and administrative tasks assigned by management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) or Certificate in Safety Coordinator Training Course.
• Possession of relevant specialized safety and health certifications (e.g., Lifting Supervisor, Confined Space Assessor, etc.) is strongly preferred.
• Citizenship Requirement: Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, only Singaporean candidates will be considered.
• Familiarity with incident and risk management procedures (BizSafe / ISO standards) and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Strong communication skills, proactive team player, and ability to respond promptly to safety requirements.
