Job Overview
Wok & Toast Pte. Ltd. is hiring a hardworking, reliable, and customer-focused Food Stall Assistant to support daily stall and kitchen operations at 263 Serangoon Central Drive. In this full-time role, you will be an integral part of the frontline food stall team, assisting with ingredient preparation, taking customer orders, handling cashless POS transactions, packing takeaway meals, and upholding top standards of kitchen hygiene in a fast-paced F&B setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, cut vegetables, marinate meats, and assist stall cooks with basic cooking and food assembly.
- Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and cashless payment terminals, taking orders and processing transactions accurately.
- Pack dine-in, takeaway, and online delivery platform orders neatly and accurately according to ticket specifications.
- Serve freshly cooked meals to patrons with a friendly, welcoming, and polite attitude.
- Monitor and replenish ingredients, condiments, soup bases, takeaway packaging, and stall supplies throughout service periods.
- Receive, unpack, and systematically organize incoming raw materials and dry goods deliveries.
- Maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards across kitchen counters, cooktops, exhaust hoods, and dining trays following Singapore food safety guidelines and SOPs.
- Wash and sanitize kitchen cookware, woks, utensils, and service equipment diligently.
- Execute daily opening and closing shift duties, including food storage, trash disposal, and station prep.
- Collaborate closely with team members to manage high customer volumes efficiently during peak lunch and dinner meal rushes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of working experience (prior experience in F&B, coffeeshop stalls, hawker centers, or quick-service restaurants is preferred, but open to candidates willing to learn).
- Physically fit and comfortable standing for long hours, carrying food supplies, and performing repetitive culinary tasks.
- Able to thrive and communicate well within a fast-tempo kitchen environment.
- Responsible, punctual, and committed to high standards of food hygiene and customer service.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
