Storekeeper - Huationg Contractor
Job Overview
Huationg Contractor Pte Ltd, a major civil engineering and building construction company in Singapore, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage warehouse and construction materials storage at their facility on Benoi Crescent. This full-time, non-executive role is responsible for the systematic receipt, warehousing, issuing, and stock control of construction materials, tools, and industrial equipment to support daily project operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, inspect, and safely store incoming construction materials and hardware against delivery orders and supplier invoices.
- Issue building materials, supplies, and tools to authorized site engineers, subcontractors, and operational personnel upon verification.
- Maintain accurate and updated inventory logs, recording stock receipts, material issuances, returns, and inventory adjustments.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock audits, investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock thresholds to initiate timely purchase replenishment requests and avoid project downtime.
- Organize store racking, yards, and tool cribs neatly to ensure safe handling, fast retrieval, and hazard-free warehouse navigation.
- Ensure proper storage, calibration upkeep, and security of power tools, heavy machinery accessories, and equipment.
- Strictly comply with workplace safety and health (WSH) guidelines regarding manual material handling and storage heights.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant warehousing, storekeeping, or material handling experience (prior experience in building and construction or civil engineering projects is an advantage).
- Basic computer literacy and practical knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP software, or stock data entry.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, moving, and stacking heavy construction materials.
- Strong organizational abilities, high attention to detail, and methodical record-keeping practices.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate effectively with site supervisors, project teams, and suppliers.
