Job Overview
AWWA Ltd., a leading social service agency in Singapore dedicated to empowering individuals across life stages, is hiring a committed and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to support its community care and residential services islandwide. This permanent, full-time role focuses on delivering individualized holistic nursing care, administering medical treatments, monitoring resident health outcomes, and mentoring care aides to enhance the well-being and independence of residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine health assessments, vital signs checks, and clinical evaluations of residents' conditions.
- Execute individualized nursing care plans and assist registered nurses and physicians with clinical procedures and treatments.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with infection prevention and control standards across all daily resident care activities.
- Administer, pack, and verify medication dosages, providing structured medication reminders and monitoring adherence.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), guiding them in self-care techniques.
- Monitor clients for early physiological deterioration, initiating timely interventions and emergency response protocols when required.
- Supervise Care Associates, Nursing Aides, and Healthcare Attendants in executing day-to-day bedside care duties.
- Plan and facilitate social, recreational, and wellness activities to promote residents' cognitive vitality, social skills, and quality of life.
- Maintain electronic medical records through systems such as the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR), ensuring strict compliance with PDPA guidelines.
- Contribute constructive feedback toward risk assessment, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- NITEC in Nursing or equivalent nursing qualification recognized by the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Must be currently registered as an Enrolled Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with a valid Practising Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience within the community care, nursing home, or eldercare sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic approach to elderly and vulnerable clients.
- Able to work independently, collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and perform rotating shift duties.
